Successful project!

Pinterest is full of wonderful ideas and crafts but pinning them doesn't get the job done.  I had pinned this great idea to redo a children's picnic table and a few weeks later I found one in my garage that my mother-in-law did not want anymore.  So I decided to actually DO something I pinned.  Little did I know, this would be the beginning to a crafty me....sorda.
Here is the link to the original pin: http://caroline-frei.blogspot.com/2012/06/kids-picnic-table-redo.html

And here is my picnic table:

I forgot to take a before picture but it was a boy color combo of tan/red/blue.  And with twin girls I definitely needed to change that!
The table top is fabric from JoAnne fabrics.  Its the picnic table cloth kinda fabric but watch out- its $19.99  a yard! Yikes! Lucky for me, I timed it right and bought one yard, which was plenty, on Black Friday and got it for 60% off. They also only had 2 choices...I obviously chose the cute lil owl design and chose my paint colors AFTER finding the fabric.  It is a little tricky to stable onto the table corners but its pretty much like gift wrapping and you have extra to recover it later down the road if you want to.

Now for the paint.  I got it all at Hobby Lobby and used the 40% of coupon they always have in the paper or on their mobile app.  I even used the plastic adhesive spray but as you can tell in some of the pictures, the paint is already rubbing off.
It is a little bit of an investment but by using the coupons, I saved really as much as possible.  And the table is so cute.  I can't wait for summer when we can actually start using it!

Finally!

So my little sister Emma finally got engaged yesterday! Funny thing is she didn't even believe it to be happening! So now we need to plan a wedding in two months...this should be fun.

Darn you Flu Bug!

Seems like everyone these days is getting sick and we sure aren't an exception.  I actually try to stay home with the kids as much as I can but they get stir crazy after a few days.  Summer can't come soon enough for me.
Seems like the only time we get out is church on Sundays and Jentrie won't let me leave the nursery yet (She's been going since October!) so needless to say, its a long day for me.  Props to those who spend their Sundays in the Nursery!
Nolan always says he wants to dress like Daddy for church so for Christmas, Grandma Shoaf made that happen.  He's grown up so fast and now he's in Primary!

That right now is pretty much what we do...puzzles, movies, coloring, snack time, princess and castles, and batman and rescue bots.
